Williston API Recognizes Achievement Award Winners - Halliburton, JMAC, Corval Group and Kathleen Neset

November 25, 2014, Williston, ND
– The Williston Basin Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute (Williston API) announces the winners of the third annual Achievement Awards.  The Williston API Achievement Awards celebrate the many positive contributions and accomplishments of the oil and gas industry throughout the Williston Basin.
 
Industry Innovation Award – Halliburton
The Industry Innovation Award recognizes significant achievement for advancements in technology, systems, processes and the application thereof in the oil and gas industry in the Williston Basin.

This year’s award was presented to Halliburton for the creation of their Frac of the FutureTM approach to modern fracturing operations. This method combines technology and equipment to minimize environmental impact, reduce pad footprint, improve reliability, reduce the number of personnel on location and increase safety.

Community Service Award – JMAC Resources

The Community Service Award seeks to recognize individuals and organizations for their commitment to their community and contributions to community service. Nominee’s contributions of time and resources bolster community pride, enable local non-profit’s to meet their missions, strengthen our community boards of directors, and help solve community challenges.

This year’s award was presented to JMAC Resources for their outstanding support of community projects, organizations and schools in Williston and surrounding areas. JMAC Resources, under the guidance of Jon McCreary, is known as one of the premier heavy civil and energy services contractor businesses in the Bakken.

Outstanding Achievement – Corval Group and Kathleen Neset
The Outstanding Achievement Award identifies individuals and organizations deserving of recognition for an activity or accomplishment that can be described as an outstanding achievement in the Williston Basin. The award is presented to one notable company and individual each year.

Corval Group was was presented the Outstanding Achievement – Company Award. Named for its commitment to the founders “Core Values”, this company’s number 1 core value is safety. As a result of this commitment to a culture of safety, Corval Group recently achieved a major national safety milestone by completing 1 million hours of work without a recordable OSHA injury. This accomplishment now places the company in the top 1% of safe contractors throughout the country.

Kathleen Neset, a New Jersey native, was presented the Outstanding Achievement – Individual Award and has decades of experience working and living in North Dakota. As President of Neset Consulting Service and co-owner of Neset Farms, Kathy is often called upon to present, educate, and advocate on behalf of the industry and North Dakota. She presents clear, concise and compelling information on the responsible development of energy in the Bakken. As both a geologist and a farmer/rancher, her voice carries credibility and accuracy of information that benefits not only the oil and gas industry, but landowners and the state of North Dakota.

Williston API and the Williston Petroleum Banquet
The awards were presented during the Williston Petroleum Banquet held on November 20, 2014 at Williston State College. The evening included a program featuring award presentations and a special keynote address by Mark P. Mills. Industry participants and community leaders gathered to enjoy fine dining, networking and entertainment in celebration of the oil and gas industry in the Williston Basin.
